When the word of precocious street kid contradicts that of a decorated police officer, who gets the benefit of the doubt?
Investigating a traitorous cop and stopping a gang war gets complicated for Phillip “Dare” Darren when he discovers his mysterious contact is a troubled twelve-year-old boy named JT. No officer in their right mind would take the word of a street kid over that of a decorated police officer. But trusting the wrong person could allow a gang war to sweep the city.
Nobody pays attention to a kid, a fact this underage informant uses to his advantage. The crimes he’s witnessed have already gotten one person killed, and the boy himself is the next on the traitor’s hit list.
As Dare races to keep JT alive while stopping the traitor from splitting the city wide open, he’s forced to answer a more troubling question. Can he be the father JT needs?
